Rethinking The Crit Event

Rethinking The Crit is a two-day symposium is a series of talks, workshops and 'swop shop' of ideas around the education of students of architecture and the creative artists. It will include a broad spectrum of voices from within the student body and academic community to share their experiences and ideas, taking place Wednesday, January 29th & Thursday, January 30th.
The event allows students and staff and members of the profession to get together to discuss and map our future education. So if you are and architecture, or creative arts student, you might want to check this out.
The event is free, but registration is essential on Eventbrite

E-Book Collection

TU Dublin Library has a sizable E-Book Collection that registered students and staff can read when they cannot get onto campus and get to print books.
Have a look at our library catalogue and search for the subject "E-Book Collection" to find these. You can narrow the search to more specific topics using the Advanced Search option.
The example shown below shows e-books which are something to do with the child. Any other keyword can be used instead depending what you are studying. The search can also be narrowed by using further keywords again.

If you have any questions, please contact the library. Our contact details are here.

Open Access Publishing offer

IGI Global is committed to providing the highest quality scholarly research content to the academic community, both through standard and open access (OA) publishing models. In the new year, we are offering a number of opportunities for researchers to publish their work under OA and to kick off 2020, from January 1st to January 31st, authors can submit their article manuscripts under open access to a select list of IGI Global journals free of any article processing charges (APCs) (our APC fee for OA journal articles is normally $2,000 USD)

How Does It Work? Submit your manuscript between January 1st and January 31st to any of the following journals:

International Journal of Public Sociology and Sociotherapy (IJPSS)
Webpage    |    Submit Manuscript

International Journal of Semiotics and Visual Rhetoric (IJSVR)
Webpage    |   Submit Manuscript

International Journal of Gender Economics (IJGE)
Webpage    |    Submit Manuscript

International Journal of Art, Culture and Design Technologies (IJACDT)
Webpage    |   Submit Manuscript

International Journal of Bias, Identity and Diversities in Education (IJBIDE)
Webpage    |   Submit Manuscript

Select “Open Access Publishing” as the publication option.

Once the manuscript has gone through the double-blind peer review process and is accepted for publication, in lieu of a formal invoice being processed for the APC collection, the article will instead be marked as “fee waived” and the work will promptly be released electronically under the Open Access Creative Commons Licensing of IGI Global.

We hope that you will consider submitting your research content for consideration and that you will share this news with your colleagues. This is a wonderful opportunity to increase the visibility of your research and allow your colleagues around the world to have access to your research findings free of charge.  To learn more about open access (OA) publishing options at IGI Global, please click here.
