Grangegorman Library Survey 2015

Last May the Library sent out a survey to all students to get their views of the new library and to see what we could improve on after our first year in our temporary accommodation.

First of all we would like to say a big thank you to all those students who took the time out to complete the survey. We had a total of 111 replies, each with detailed comments on how we were doing! Over the Summer we have been working on all the issues that were raised.

These were the main areas of concern:
  • Lack of computers
  • Noise
  • Printing and Photocopying
  • Lack of awareness of our services

SPSS now available on all library laptops

The library is delighted to announce that all 15 of our laptops now have the Social Science software SPSS installed on them (Version 22).
This means that Social Science students can now work on their research on our laptops (especially useful if all the computers are being used).

The library has 15 laptops for use by students. These are brand new machines and have all the latest Office applications, as well as Read and Write and access to WIFI.

Printing is available through Datapac's Upload a Document service.

To borrow a laptop (available on a 3 hour loan) simply ask at the desk.
Please note you will need your student card to borrow. Laptops cannot be taken outside the library but can be used in the Group Study rooms
